OUR STAFF & JOB OPPORTUNITIES

St. Nicks Alliance Division of Youth & Education serves 2,500 youth through afterschool, summer, school-based, and internship programs as well as two Beacon community centers.  We are seeking individuals for the below positions. 

College Resource Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing College Resource Program in a school based community center. Responsibilities include: planning and facilitating workshops; coordinating college and university tours; and provide information to students during school day. Requirements: BA or Associate Degree; strong written and oral communication skills; knowledge of college application process and current career trends; ability to work independently and ability to work some evenings.

Site Monitor for Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) will act as liaison between group of participants and their worksites, oversee timesheets process, and manage participants’ folders.  St. Nicks’ SYEP teaches job readiness skills and provides paid employment opportunities for seven weeks over the summer for up to 550 youth ages 14 to 24 each summer.  Position is part-time for Summer 2010. 

Instructor for Educational Workshops for Summer Youth Employment Program will teach youth participants job readiness skills on these topics: Work Readiness, Financial Literacy, Career Exploration, Higher Learning, Health Education, Reflection and Analysis.  Anticipated dates are:  June 28 to August 14. 

Afterschool Staff (various part-time positions) will be responsible for planning and implementing social, recreational, and educational activities for children ages 5 to 14 (depending on site).  Requirements: ability to work in interdisciplinary team, good decision-making and crisis intervention skills.
